Dr. Dresser received her BScPhm from the University of Toronto.  After completing a hospital practice residency at McMaster University Medical Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, she moved to Hamilton, Bermuda and practiced as a clinical pharmacist at the island’s hospital.  It was during this time that Dr. Dresser was part of her first Antimicrobial Stewardship Program – called the Antimicrobial Management Team!  When she was “voted off” the island, she pursued her PharmD degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, followed by a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacoeconomics in Buffalo.

Since returning to Toronto in 2000, Dr. Dresser has practiced as an Infectious Diseases Pharmacist at Mount Sinai Hospital and North York General Hospital before accepting her current position at University Health Network in 2009.

Dr. Dresser is an Assistant Professor (Status) at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, where she teaches in both the undergraduate PharmD program and the PharmD for Pharmacists Program.

Dr. Dresser is an active member of a number of professional organizations and has presented nationally and internationally, has authored peer reviewed articles and chapters, and serves as a peer reviewer to a number of publications.
